F/TR bipod from the SHED

Here we go, my latest design and build project, an F/TR bipod.

The vital statistics:

Height range 160mm - 280mm
Time to travel from high to low - 12 seconds
Weight - 750 grams
Construction - 6082 T6 Aluminium, 304 Stainless and PTFE for friction washers.

I am building them with pick-ups for both T slot rails and Harris type studs in a choice of black, blue, red, green and shiny.

Features - UK designed and manufactured (Guess where) Quick adjust elevation screw and tracker feet which follow the ground regardless of angle.

I can offer these with additional heights, optional bubble level and in an ultra light version.

Is it possible to machine a mechanism where the rods between the legs can be snapped out quickly to allow the legs to come together so the bippd closes down for transport?

Yes it is certainly doable. I sized this one to fit in an outer pocket of an AIM or Blackhawk drag bag or similar but it could be made to close up quickly for storage.
