Ladies and Gentlemen, how do.

I'm keeping my nose to the ground for a friend of mine, he's after an Enfield No4 rear-sight, a flip up one that is click adjusted, the ones found on the No4 MkIs, sorry, don't know the true name of the sight.

Are these around? Are they pricey?

Any info would help.

Have a look on e-bay seen several Singer click adjuster rear site buy it now £34 + 2.50 post.

I had a very brief look on eBay the other day, but I didn't believe they were priced at £35+, I thought it was just eBay sellers taking the Michael.

Why are they that expensive? Grrrr. I was expecting something more like £10.00 :cool2:

Terry is a top chap, he gets my vote as well

Avoid EFD - I have consistently found them grumpy and unhelpful, as if I (a customer asking for an Enfield part) was a mere obstacle to their true occupation of reading the paper.

On the other hand, heartily seconded on Terry Abrams. He sold me the majority of the small metal parts for my No.4 project and was full of helpful advice to boot.

Failing those, I do have a No.5 rearsight kicking around which I'll part with for £15 plus p&p. It's identical except for the range graduations, but if you're handloading who uses those?

Terry has even shipped parts to me FOC before, I saw him at a show asked him if had a part form my SMLE, he said no but give me your address and I will post you one out, no charge.

He actually posted me two! (Front spring)

EFD do seem a tad grumpy at shows but were very good when I got talking to them at Century one day, they had some WWI LE snipers and got the lot out of the boot of a car to show me.

As with anyone, ya can catch folk on a bad day.
The EFD chaps trade at some of the Bisley shows. Always found them to be very helpful...but to me they are of the most use with regard to the repro woodwork that they make
