Gun Cabinet Size???

sign85 Okay so I'm trying to decide between 3 Brattonsound gun safes before I send of for my first ever FAC yay! :good:

Seeing as there is nowhere near me (Southeast) to my knowledge at least where I can view the full Brattonsound range I thought it best to ask those of you who have been there and done it so to speak.

Below are the three I'm considering. Dimensions given in mm HxWxD

RD7+ : 6/7 rifle cabinet (1308x407x346)
RL7+ : 6/7 rifle cabinet with 203mm internal locking top (1515x407x346) <--- Is the top box worth having over the RD7+?

and finally an MT9+ meant to hold 9 muzzle loaders but with the same dimensions as RL7+ just no top lock box (1515x407x346) I'm thinking this will be handy for the extra room for a 30" barrel perhaps although I'm only planning initially on probably getting a 26"-28" tops

So what are your thoughts guys as any help will be much appreciated.

Bigger the better from my point of view; nobody ever seems to have enough room.

Well I'm planning to put in for 5-6 rifles and while I know it'll be a squeeze but I'd like to get away with a 7 gun cabinet if I can :?

Buy the biggest you can afford, you will fill it eventually and theres less chance of bashing your rifles and scopes.

I have the ML7 and a digital safe to put my ammo and bolts in

I am yet to manage to fit seven rifles in a BS 7 gun cabinet, I would say 5 'scoped rifles is about the most they will take however you may get an extra one in if you have a few skinny service rifles included.

Do you mean the MT7 model ? can't find an ML7 on their site and in either case my main worry is will the RD7+ and RL7+ models have enough room for average sized rifles or should I go with the MT9 ?? i can't see myself getting a 30" anytime soon probably a remy 700 PSS so will that fit in the shorter cabinets?

If you really want to make sure you have a cabinet that will cope with whatever you throw at it in the years to come, make sure it has the height for a 32 inch barrel, room for whatever you need plus two because if it says 7 it will take 5, you need to allow for not scratching your rifles. Scopes take a lot of space.

Get a separate safe for everything else.
