All I was told is that it was a mauser k98 that takes 8mm brass He has 20 that are ppu I hope that helps.

That will be 8x57 then. Did you see the reload data I posted for this bullet?

I used to use cut down .30-06 brass when I needed 8x57 cases to reload. Very easy operation to do. But safer if you don't have a .30-06 rifle to go with them.
