National body forums.

Just for the record the NRA or NRA staff both paid and lay are not banned from posting here.

The forum was locked firstly because of an issue that arose on which we felt we should make a stand, that point has been made and the header has now been removed. As was stated, the reason for that we will not discuss on open forum to protect our member(s).

Upon reflection on the National organisations it was felt best to lock or remove all the national organisation forums. Those that were moribund, had few post and none recent were deleted and those with content were locked.

The opportunity for national organisations to use these forums was offered genuinely, but we soon found out that there was no formal representation there. What we did have was people from within the organisation contributing where they could, with that which they knew and or was within their purview. The NRA staff by far contributed the most here out of all the organisations and we thank all the NRA people either currently or previously involved for their time, effort and energy.

However the lack of a more formal, authoritative engagement from the organisations has meant that people have potentially become exposed to misinterpretation. Therefore it is felt best to cease with all the organisation specific forums and have what we have now, a general forum to discuss things pertaining to the national organisations.

If any of the national organisations want us to revisit this with their input then we will be happy to do so in a constructive and supportive manner.

Well said - that's a very good idea as otherwise what staff post can be seen as official statements which can lead to all sorts of unpleasantness.

Not that it bothers me anymore

Love
