Claw mount bases plates

I am after a set of claw mount base plates, single claw front and double claw rear, absolutely anything considered even mismatched or incomplete systems as I can use them as donor parts or patterns.

Even some good photographs and/or dimensions would be a start.

Anyone?

Might be worth having a word with Chris Goodwin at C & G Firearms as he had a big box of such things when I was last down there.

What exactly are you looking for Ovenpaa, as there are so many different types and systems all with totally different dimensions.

Too true, I have a nice little Ajax scope with claw mounts that I have been trying to find bases for or even a rifle with suitable bases on it and have failed miserably. Can't really put new rings on the glass as the windage adjustment is in the rings, sem to recall its an odd diameter tube as well. Lovely little scope though.

This is the problem.. I have a P14 rifle and a German 3X Fuess, as such the two will never have been married together so I will never find the correct mounts however if I can find something similar that I can modify or at least copy I am a step closer. I am sure I will have to build my own rear tower to support the mount but that is no hardship.

I would think it quite unlikely that you will find a set of original bases that go with your mounts so I think you had better start designing something to match straight away. It shouldn't be too difficult for someone of your obvious maching skills but it will probably take some time.
