I was typing my bit in the welcome post for Forward Observer.

He had said something along the lines of Fullbore Forum leading the way into unified shooting and commonallity of purpose and it got me thinking.

The Fullbore Shooting Society..

We would need a constitution, committee, range to shoot on, Home Office Approval,

Committee meetings, agendas, you know - serious stuff.

Commitment.

Perish the thought, cold shower for me I think.

Society eh?

Perish the thought... we have anything up to 1100 unique visitors to this site daily so it does get some exposure.

Unity.

Some of them are more unique than others too...

But in general, I like the idea...

The benefit of FB(UK) is that people from the length and breadth of this island can share ideas (plus people from around the world) - a society/club would be based in one area and only cater for a small number - therein lies the problem.

That reality is one of the reasons why I advocate that there needs to be a functional separation 'tween the NRA and Bisley shooting ground in order for the NRA to function as representative member organisation.

Unity through wanting to be unified,as apposed to perishing the thought of wanting to be unified......

Being pedantic (or just a pain in the nether regions) Bisley Shooting Ground is the shotgun organisation belonging to Mr Anthony Roupell.

The NRA just say Bisley.

Not that, in the grand scale of things, anyone gives a - thought for it.

O:-)

But then NRA (aparrent) lack of tangible interest has been discussed in depth elsewhere.

Is there anybody in there? Echo, echo, echo.........

I was thinking about something similar during the National Body thread, but more along the lines of a mock up of a National body sort of thing. :-P

Watching this with interest,
