Morning all. Just joined.
Live in Swindon, planning on taking my DSC level 1 shortly and just filling out my FAC. Oh and joined a localish range/club.

Anyone in this area know of ranges that time can be booked on?

The Tunnel Club at Devizes used too have (May still have?) an indoor full bore range as well as the pistol ranges (Now lost due to no longer having pistols)

I am not sure if they are still shooting full-bore inside - but will still have a range somewhere, no doubt.

I bought my first Pistol from David and Andrew in 1993 and a very nice Enfield Enforcer too.

Welcome to F-B(UK) Bisley is an easy enough drive from where you are if you want to get out at greater distances and they have some moving targets to work with.

I dont have any toys yet well of the firearm variety. Do have a hoyt recurve bow, some fly rods etc they are toys sort of. Couple of mad Belgian Shepherds, a few computers. On my list of toys I would like I have A Sig 522, Mk 4 Lee Enfield, Blaser R8 or R93 (after much saving). I travel to the States for work (work for a company based in Minnesota) so I get to shoot out there, M1 garand, M1 carbine, Ar 15s, Glock17s, Colt 1911s etc. My American friends had the impression that as I was a Brit I couldn't shoot lol. Am an Army Brat so learned to shoot on ranges in Germany courtesy of my dads battalion back in the 80's & 90's

I have read some great things about the Sig anyone on here any experience of it? I like the Blaser my club has an R8 very nice rifle as I will be out Stalking and taking my DSC 1 I would love a Blaser but they are pretty expensive and I think the wife wouldnt be pleased if I put it on the Credit Card lol. Anyone got any other suggestions for a good Deer Stalking rifle.

Stalking Rifles are a very personal choice. We shoot in Denmark where the Sako, Mauser and Blaser are popular as is Tikka to a lesser degree. You could always look for a Schultz & Larsen tongueout

He has only been a member five minutes and already he is using foul language likely to cause a disturbance.

Words like , Glock, numbers like 1911.

****

Should he be allowed to get away with it?
