Primer pocket sizing

I always uniform new brass with a Sinclair International primer pocket uniformer which one of these things, it cuts the primer pocket to depth and squares off the internal corners. Usually with Lapua brass barely anything needs talking out but the last batch of Norma brass I have needs a lot taking out to get the primer to sit flush and I have resorted to a cordless drill to drive the uniformer. Does anyone else have this problem with any brass or use an alternative for uniforming? Also what do you use to clean the pocket when it has been shot, I use the uniformer again as the brass does seem to move slightly.

Do you use it by hand or with a power tool and do you find some makes of case need a lot more material removing than others?

Don't reamer your primer pockets until after the first firing - slack primer pockets are one reason for ditching brass and when the brass is new and the pockets are at their tightest, there is always a danger of removing a bit of the sidewall with your reamer.

I had to cut the pockets before firing as the primers stick out by a couple of mm otherwise on the new Norma brass, I am wary of chambering a round with the primer sticking out hence I asked.

I swage with the RCBS tool and then lightly remove the pocket edge with a de-burr tool.
