Hello Boys and girls.
Just joined after being told of group by a fellow LERA member. Been shooting for over fifty years and enjoyed all of it. Still doing so. In all that time I have never really met a fellow shooter who was not one of the 'good guys'. Funny that, for the same cannot be said about some of the numpties one meets in the workplace or on the road. I hope to be shooting for many years to come and although my interest these days is mainly 'Military Trainers' I do still retain some full bores for the occasional noise therapy. My main interest is Lee-Enfields, but anything that shoots hits the spot for me. I'm moving to the Isle of Wight soon and will need to find the shooting fraternity there. Any help would be appreciated.
All the best. Chatwindows.

Nice to see you made it onto the site - I'm the LERA member! You should show the picture of the K98, No4 and No1 - they're beautiful!

Welcome aboard
There is/was a fairly healthy shooting scene on the Isle of Wight, most of it is run by the Newport and District Rifle Club. (Or it was when I was NRA regional Rep) Full-bore shooting is carried on Jersey Camp which is a 400m Military range controlled by the ACF and Royal Marines. I think that there are about five rifle clubs that share a couple of ranges. I know that one of them was in the old railway tunnels. Drop Heather Webb at the NRA a line and ask for contact details for the Isle of Wight. I wish that I still had them.
