Evening,
Been reading through the many threads here for some time so guess its time to stick my head above the parapet.
I live in East Sussex and have been shooting since I was big enough to hold a gun. The usual route for gamekeepers offspring of air rifles, .410, 12b and rimfires for game and vermin. I am a regular game shot and a now a qualified shotgun coach / safety officer / safe shot assesor. Recently joined a local rifle target club - a first for me in 43 years - for some variety and something to do during the quiet periods and have discovered a whole new shooting subculture that I didnt really know existed and, to my suprise, I am really enjoying. The local club have been great (thanks 1066 RPC) and have broadened the horizons of my lifelong hobby. (oh, and your site is helping no end! clapclap )

You can't rush a Sloegin, like a sprog it needs (at least) 9 months before making an appearance.

I have some at 5+ years old and getting better by the year however I was intrigued by the idea of cooking down the sloes with some sugar and then adding the gin, certainly worth running as a second option, call it an experiment in the interest of science... fingerscrossed
