Newbie - Hello

Been registered for a while, so it's about time I said hello.

Been shooting off and on for over 30 years - took it up more seriously once my back decided it was time to stop playing cricket five years ago. Thought a sport that let me lie down would be a good thing. Only I didn't take into account the amount of kit you end up lugging around betwen house and car, car and range and then back again. I'm sure its worse than travelling with small children.

Anyway I've also entered the Imperial Meeting for the first time ever this year so will see how it goes. Just looking to set down a marker for next year.

Welcome Chris and Phil, the Imperial is certainly going to be a wet one by the look of it but with luck you will see some sunshine, are you both shooting in TR or something different? Christel and I will be up next Tuesday to meet friends old and new, I was going to say look out for someone with a Full-Bore T shirt but neither of us possess such things plus if we did they would be covered with waterproofs and woolly hats!

Good luck all for the comps. :good:

Figured it is going to be a wet one, which raises a question. What happens if it persist it down heavily all day - do you just have to wear a wet suit and get on with it as the competition schedule seems quite busy?

If it rains a might heavily - You ignore it best U can & carry on till you get shots high, primers blown out, or cant see the target for all the water in the sights / air. as per my 300 shoot! called to wait after 2 sighters not found on the target! - dried it all out, pushed the iris out, removed the eagle eye then shot 47.5 half the field went home to dry out.
