Just been granted my FAC, have to say after reading the horror stories online I can't praise Hertfordshire FA department enough. Between Trevor and marry they had me done and dusted in 4 weeks.

Anyways I was granted

2x .22lr

1x 7.62/.308

Have my .22 sorted by way of a anshutz 1918 precise.

For .308 I have been looking At a savage 12 f/tr with a scout 12 mod

Will also been looking to reload

Anyways time to find as much info as I can before I go for the plastic

Welcome to the forum, your lucky I'm at 14 weeks so far and SGC expires in 6 days.

i know this true on a sound reduction basis as there is so much noise around, but i like the added smoothness that a mod brings and also the reduction in recoil is nice.

Are you going to shoot competitively? I am not sure they are allowed?

i may do in the future but for now il shoot small bore comps and leave the full bore as a bit of fun
