Hello from a new comer...

Just thought I'd drop in and say hello. My gun background is airguns for the last 30 years, shooting a shotgun a handful of times and collecting deactivated guns. So I appreciate I have a lot to learn, I just need a helping hand to get me going. I've read the FAC FAQ, which is a good thread, I just need to get myself in to a club and start my probation period. I live about 2 miles from Oundle/Barnwell and I notice there are other members of the club on here. I've tried to contact the membership secretary, but as yet no reply. Is that something someone from here could help me with please?
Cheers,
HALODIN.

Welcome Halodin!
I'm sure 20Series shoots at Oundle but I might be talking tosh. He'll be along later today no doubt and get you heading off in the right direction for your FAC. With good advice it's not the minefield that people make it out to be.

Welcome, I am indeed a member of Oundle Rifle and Pistol Club, the membership secretary is usually pretty on the ball.
It might be worth dropping another email or just turn up to Barnwell on Sunday morning between 0930-1300 and ask for John.
I'm normally there most Sundays but I'm otherwise engaged for the next three weekends.

Thanks. It only took him 10 mins
The hardest bit seems to be choosing your guns...

Ha see you're a quick learner clapclap
One of the great things about ORPC is that if you can think of it someone at the club has probably got one! and more to the point will let you have a go

Thanks Alan. Is it possible you could PM me John's e-mail address please? The only way I could contact him was through
this URL, I'd like to try this first if I can, otherwise I'll speak to him Sunday.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers,
Craig.

Sounds good, although I have quite the imagination... Any semi-auto Lewis guns out there?
I keep reading good things about the people and the club and as I used to dig slugs out of the sandbanks at the back as a kid, it's home territory for me. Seems the logical choice!
