Space shuttle Endeavour comes home

#1 Post by rufrdr »

I had a good view of the Endeavour as it made its victory laps over Los Angeles before landing at LAX to be moved to the Science Center for display. The shuttles were built in Palmdale, about 40 miles from where I now live. The picture of the 747 and shuttle landing at LAX was taken by one of the CWOs in my state defense unit, he works at the airport in his real job.

Alan,

Make some time to see the U.S.S. Iowa and the U.S.S. Lane Victory at San Pedro and also take in the coast artillery battery at Ft. MacArthur. Hop over to Long Beach and see the Queen Mary! Plan on doing any range shooting while you are here?
