Newbie

#1 Post by mas36 »

Hi everyone,

New to the forum having dithered about joining for some considerable time. I live in Boston, Lincolnshire, and shoot at Oundle Rifle and Pistol Club most of the time. Currently shooting a dolphin gun co 284 and 308 and have recently purchased an enfield no7 which I have yet to try out.

Frequent visitor to Bisley and will hopefully be adding a new toy to the collection this weekend from the trafalgar fair in the pavillion. Currently unable to shoot due to a neck injury, however, as I am off work it means I get more time on the internet / this forum to get to know you guys.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

From memory you are not the only Oundle member on here.

The only other Oundle member I know of on the forum is 20series, who has an apparent abundance of patience with me and has been nagging me for ages to join. I cant use the excuse of no time to do it any longer as I am currently off work and unable to shoot due to a neck injury.

As for the mas 36, I have one on hold which should be with me soon. Hopefully I should be able to put it through its paces in a month or so.

Welcome Mas. So how long did you lurk before joining or was it a spur of the moment thing after abuse from 20S? A slap round the back of the head will sort him out...

Ovenpaa I would like to point out that telling Mas36 to slap me around the head isn't big and it's definitely not clever :55: and he doesn't need any encouragement from you he's been threatening me with tablets since I've known him he seems to think I might need them for some reason kukkuk kukkuk kukkuk

Ovenpaa - Lets just say the old boy has been "encouraging" me to join for some time and pushing quite a bit just lately. While I acknowledge your treatment methods would possibly have some kind of positive short term effect I still favour the longer term benefits of a chemical cosh for him. Unfortunately the therapeutic effect of any psychotropic medications I can currently lay my hands on is minimal at present and I am waiting for the natural progression of his disorder to lead him to deteriorate a little more before treatment is commenced. Anyway, the worse he gets the better chance I have of getting him detained, and as a good friend, nay brother, I feel it only right I volunteer at that point to care for his growing range of toys..........
