Hello From Edinburgh
Hello,
I was a pistol shooter until the ban when I switched to rifles. Not a great shot but as long as Politicians don't like me having firearms I'll have them. Main interest is 'Classic Rifle' rifle and I have a few. With my colleagues in the New Pistol Club we started the first Classic Pistol Championship in Scotland and was delighted when Vintage Arms Scotland started to run the Scottish Classic Rifle Championship. (Held each year in Sep at Castlelaw Ranges).
I do some reloading and am quite knowledgeable but do NOT pretend to know everything and am wary of those who do!

Hi! Castlelaw is a range I'd like to shoot on. What is Classic Pistol?
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Welcome to the forum Robert, reloading is always a contentious area however it can be very rewarding. We have some very knowledgeable reloaders on the forum.
Re: Hello From Edinburgh
Thanks for the welcome. Classic Pistol was a competion for pistols designed before 1919 and was shot in various classes using things like Webley MkVI Revolvers, Lugers, Mauser Broomhandles, Colt 1911s / 1911As. Various Webley Semi Autos such as a Webley Mark 1N in .455 Auto.
Some of us managed to save some of our Pistols under Section 7.1 and Sec 7.3 of the Amendment Act. I shot my pistols at Bisley but the journey got too long and we have moved further north.
