Hi all, just a quick intro.
I am new to Black Powder and BP loading. I have been loading-reloading rifles and shotguns for a number of years, but all with Nitro.
The main reason for me to join this forum is to gather info on using and loading BP in large Bore shotguns, especially 8s and 4 Bores.
I have, and currently use an English made Eight bore made by F T Baker, 40" Damascus barrel with 3,3/4" chamber, its proofed for 2,1/4oz loads.
Now i have given a short intro, i will have a look round the forum.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Re: Hello
Welcome Eight Bore and with a name like that you may be able to give me some pointers on brass 8 bore cartridges as I am just about to start building a batch and still have a couple of minor bugs to iron out.
