1st variation
thinking about putting in my first Variation on my FAC.
my club shoots at bisley but we only do have day sessions due to cost, i would like to spend the whole day down there if im going to go to the effort of driving down, so look to get some extra guns so i can carry on shooting on a diffrent range when they all go home.
i currently have
2x .22lr
1x .308
2x mods
im looking to ask for the following
1x 9mm Rifle for gallery range
1x Fac shotgun for psg
1x .22 LBP
1x 6.5mm rifle for F class
do you think this would be a bit OTT for my first Variation?
i dont plan to buy them all right away but i dont want to have to keep sending my fac back every time i want to shoot something new.
any advise would be great

Re: 1st variation
You are an existing FAC holder so a fit person.
So long as you can demonstrate reason to possess, competitions courses of fire etc, along with adequate security i.e. space in your cabinets then on what grounds could they refuse your variation?

Hi Spud. Forgive me, but can someone tell me what has an ssc got to do with requiring to purchase new rifles in whatever calibre.spud wrote:have you got all those catagories passed on your ssc
In the past when I wanted to do a one for one or to add new calibres I did not have to produce any ssc as proof that I was a fit person to shoot a particular calibre.
Cheers

Not yet mate but I plan to, my understanding from the site was you must have a slot for the relevant firearm to be about to do the courses

That is part of your reason to possess, no firearms you can't be certificated. You can shoot uncertificated on MoD ranges so long as you are supervised one to one.

Re: 1st variation
You put your current FAC in with the Variation Application. Don't forget to send it recorded post.paxtond wrote:thanks for the info guys, il stick the paper work in the post in the morning. do i need to put my current FAC in the post or can i hold on to it?
