Volkswagen Commercial: The Force
Hilarious...
Re: Volkswagen Commercial: The Force

When God was a boy and I was annoying the general public by telling them they were having to go on a party line...
There was a VFA (voice frequency alarm) system for calling out fire stations...someone came up with the bright idea that the tender engines could be started by HQ in order to warm them up ready for when the crew arrived...until one day someone left a tender in gear and it ended up across the road half way thru the doors of Libanus Chapel...

Re: Volkswagen Commercial: The Force
One bitingly cold winters night as I was putting my helmet and gloves on by the 'bike one of the estate agents that worked below us sauntered past and commented something like "You should save up for one of these mate" or similar and with that he pointed a thing at his car which promptly started and lurched backwards stopped I assume only by the handbrake and kerb. It rather took me by surprise, not that it started but that it could be started in gear. Anyway him being an estate agent and me being me only one word came to mind

Re: Volkswagen Commercial: The Force
Remember the VW Golf advert where the car is dropped and bounces?
Well before entering the Army i used to work for a dodgy builder who had erected a 5 story scaffold along a tennement building. Shoddy as hell and it soon fell, dropping onto a brand new golf.
I can honestly say that it did bounce up too when we cleared the scaffolding....shame about the bodywork though

On scaffolding disasters, back in 2000 it was surreal walking past this on the way to work...picture doesn't do it justice...it looked like a spinnaker on a building.

Re: Volkswagen Commercial: The Force
We had a scaffolding collapse in Milton Keynes close to where I work back in 2006, no VW Golfs involved. Sadly one killed and two badly injured. I remember the chaos afterwards, it was left untouched for ages.
A quick google shows the company was fined GBP126,000 for it.
