That's a pretty reasonable price if you ask me. How long until you can collect it?

I should be in a position to make my final decision after the British shooting show, as I'm also going to pay NWCP a visit on Saturday to see the ST's and LMT's. :shakeshout:

Lewis Machine Tools (LMT LM223 SS) - £1,700.00
.22 conversion kit (inc new barrel/bolt/mag) - £ 400.00

Thats about the same price as the custom cmmg .22 and the .223 upper ive been looking into with lantac, obviously im not sure on the spec of the upper, but will look into this when i collect the cmmg, suppose nwcp is round about the same, but life time warranty on parts bought as long as i own, seals it for me

As soon as the certificate comes through the post, ill take the 3 hours drive and collect the beauty, thank god for that tax rebate clapclap ....Also looked at the saiga and believe thats a reasonably priced rife, but of course ill have to amend the license and save up :roll: ......Yeah it probably wise to actually handle one (LMT), wasnt in my case, but theres nothing else that lights my fire, so to speak !!!

I understand, I'd take a days holiday if I had to! Waiting for your FAC is like watching paint dry without the benefit of the fumes... I hope you don't have much longer to wait or you have more patience than me!

haha, idea! A worse thing than waiting for your FAC is waiting for the rifle to be built (and its delayed) and proofed and delivered all over summer whilst you are getting some sweet range time-then now it is sat in my cabinet ready to go minus some ammo and my time to go and shoot it! painful!

Joint bank accounts and I live with a shooter so she knows exactly how much everything costs before I have even told her. She also tells me if something is worth looking at or too expensive, in fact the Viking seems to have better grasp of the value of shooting related kit than I do!

my other half is not a shooter (except for a couple of clay shoots),joint accounts ,shared cash,
but she knows i wont buy what we cant afford and likewise

This does lead me onto a question I often wonder about and that is why do married couple sometimes have separate bank accounts and finances? I am not knocking the practice, just that it seems odd to me.

We have both a joint account and separate accounts. The idea is you can do what you want with the money in your own account without feeling guilty. Why have all of your disposable money in one joint account? Surely you have to check if it's OK to make a big purchase out of it?
