H&K MP5 .22

#1 Post by UKYankee »

Just wondered if anyone had any experience with these rifles. I have an empty .22 slot that I want to fill for a 'fun gun' and use for mini rifle comp's, don't really want to go down the AR route. Always loved the MP5's (that's what growing up in 1980's/90's America will do to you) but don't know anyone that has either shot, used or owned one of these.

thanks
Dave

Chap in the club has one. Yep, nice enough. Uses the same operation principal as the rest of the Umerex/Walther "tacticool" rimfires. And in all honesty, gave nothing more than my GSG 5.....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

The general consensus seems to be that they're overall better than the GSG-5 in terms of build quality and some claim accuracy. However i've heard of several owners complaining about reliability, which i put down to the fact you can't strip them as easily as the GSG-5 so they aren't being cleaned properly. If i were buying now i'd go for the H&K/Umarex version over my GSG-5
