Full-Bore South West
Met up with RayBrown and HunterVixen down at Severnside today for a bit of fun. Plenty of straight pull bangs going on and delighted to have a go with John's L1A1, a lovely bit of kit. Took down my AK, Dragunov, SMLE, AICS 700 and a .22 Colt M4 and a good time was had by all. It even stayed dry all day too! Good to meet you guys, put faces to names etc. Hopefully do it again before too long!

funnily enough I was at sevenside today also, wish I had known you guys were there
Re: Full-Bore South West
We were having too much fun to take pictures. Had serious rifle envy with all that Leigh brought along and Johns L1A1 is loverly indeed. I took along my No4, R93 and Sig522. We made lots of noise and put lots of holes in the targets (ok so most of them were not in the bull :) but we still had a blast). I was a great day and so glad to put names to faces etc. I am now on the hunt for a bayonet for my No4 as I have been reliably informed it is not a complete weapons system unless I have one  Will hopefully be able to make it along again very soon (hopefully with more FB members in attendance)
Col we were the rowdy lot down the far left making a lot of racket and smiling an awful lot

Full-Bore South Western Branch Away day.
Afternoon all,
The inaugural Full-Bore "South Western Branch" Away day at Severn-Side Gentlemen's Club went very well yesterday.
Some very serious brass conversion took place....the place looked like Custers last stand when we finished.
lots gun sharing with No4, L1, Dragunov, AK, Spikes, Sig, Blaser etc. all being given a bloody good work out.
Great fun Leigh and Ray, lets do it again soon!
Cheers, John.

Oh dear...no pics...too busy shooting!!

Wish we'd have known you were there Col, would have been good to put another face to a name..... As Ray said, we were far left making lots of bangs and giggling a lot. And Ray, you do need a bayonet for that No. 4, it's just not complete without one. Sure a pigsticker doesn't make as much of a difference as the p1907 for the SMLE, but you need to fix bayonet and then have at it for a mad minute to get the full Enfield experience!
Sorry Christel, I had fully intended taking pictures, but I got a bit carried away. Had a load of cheap milsurp .303 that needed getting rid of. Kind of wish I'd checked the headstamps before firing them though, some of the ammo was war dated!!!
