Coppens Schietsportcentrum, Knokke Heist, Belgium
Well, I went there last week and thoroughly enjoyed myself. No pics as they were keen to point out that photography is not permitted in the range, but run by a couple of really friendly people, not particularly expensive - (Eur 60 for 100 rounds, 3 guns and plenty of targets). If, like me, you didn't take up the sport until after the hand gun ban, it's really quite convenient. About an hour and a half drive from Calais, nice club with a bar etc, reasonable shop and a good selection of handguns available to try out. I shot a Glock 17, Browning Hi-Power and a Ruger Redhawk in .357 Mag.
I'll certainly be going back again at some point in the not too distant future - who knows, if there's enough interest, it could be an FB weekender!

Re: Coppens Schietsportcentrum, Knokke Heist, Belgium
funnily enough I tried to arrange a trip there for my club about a month ago, several emails and no reply? did you ring or am I just unlucky with the email?
Re: Coppens Schietsportcentrum, Knokke Heist, Belgium
I emailed and got no response, I left it a week and then decided to ring instead. They speak perfect English if your Vlaamse isn't up to the job! When I was there, the guy behind the counter was constantly answering the phone and dealing with quite a busy shop, so I wasn't surprised he didn't take too much notice of foreign emails!
As long as all of your party are FAC holders, they'll be welcome. If you're planning a group booking, it's worth bearing in mind that Knokke is regarded as being the priciest town in Belgium and if you're looking for accommodation, spread your net wider than the immediate area.

Re: Coppens Schietsportcentrum, Knokke Heist, Belgium
thanks for that, on their site they also mention that,
Valid membershipcard from your local shootingrange, or valid sportshooters licence.
(Membershipcards of the National Rifle Association or competency certificates are not accepted)
- Valid firearms certificate, shotgun permit, or European firearms pass.
- Your passport or ID-card.
how did this work out for you ? I am not a member of a range as such, my club use Bisley ?

When I spoke to them prior to going over, they said that I needed an FAC, SGC will not be accepted. When I got there, they just had a quick look at the FAC, photocopied the front page for their records and that was it. I wasn't asked for any ID, no membership cards, nothing - just the FAC.

£55 for 100 rounds of 9mm out of a semi auto pistol would not last long? That's not even six full mags for a glock!
I have been their once before and remember thinking it was expensive then!
