I've never been into knives and stay legal.

But for some reason, I've taken a fancy to pocket knives 2.5" blade (?) locking.

Can't seem to pass a shop window these days...not very expensive ones though, but carbon 440 steel??

I think there is a bit of an issue with lockers these days and mine sit on a book shelf at home.

Hell yes...I don't take them out...as I say...I stay legal...useful around the house and workshop.

"19. Always take and use protective clothing (including eye and ear protection), appropriate to the task in hand and prevailing weather conditions. Remember the law regarding knives in public places. (Criminal Justice Act 1988 & Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006). It is now ILLEGAL to have any sharply pointed or bladed instrument in your possession, in a public place without good reason or lawful authority. There is an exemption in law for folding pocket knives. These must have cutting edges of less than three inches and blades which do not lock. However when pocket knives of this type are carried for example in a nightclub, at a school or to a football match they are likely to be viewed as offensive weapons even though the actual knife isn’t an offensive weapon in itself.

Mrs T loves all that survival stuff. She snaffled my Kabar and Glock fieldknife, plus she has her own Smith Wesson search and rescue knife, (mini Kabar) boot knives, throwers etc etc, AND she can clean and cook wild stuff.MMMMM

Ah but joking aside, when something has been hand crafted out of a nature material, steel in this case and it is fit for purpose, you can't beat that, can you.

I've made a couple of knives myself, and have quite a large collection of axes and knives (including carving etc).

I've got one I made with a deer antler handle, and with the curves and lumps it just fits perfectly in my hand whichever way I hold it.

mmm, think I need to get my sharpening block out...
