Pressure plug goes in your butt
Extension or more commonly referred to ad buffer tube. BHOA is a Bolt Hold Open Actuator.

Re: Lantac Cmmg Custom
I think the problem with the BHOA is the lack of tension in the Evo mags. I've ended up extending the mag springs by an inch or so to give them some more pressure. I am curious if your approach also works. Thx
Re: Lantac Cmmg Custom
I just changed the Bolt stop spring with the one that comes with the Gen2 BHOA and popped in the BHOA in with EVO SS bolt and EVO mags, worked for me.

The red dot is a ps22 and got it for half the price on that auction site, the reviews for the site were good and was effective on a .223, I had no experience in trying to zero it in and found this quite difficult, it didnt help coming of 5 night shifts , feeling knackared, and being a complete newbie, in handling this .22 calibre ar15
TJC regarding the pin, I have no clue, its black and gorgeous, probably a f/b msg to paul may answer that query..

Bolt hold open something and the pressure plug takes up a slack alice bolt assembly.
Now tell me about your gallery comp!

Re: Lantac Cmmg Custom
I have found the CMMG evo mags to be really hit and miss. Some work great and others are a nightmare. Any form of resistance inside the mag and the follower spring will not have enough strength to push the bolt catch up.
Running the lighter bolt catch spring or cutting one down helps a lot and we do that an all the guns, both CMMG and Ravens. However I sometimes feel I'm fighting a loosing battle with the CMMG mags.
BAD Levers add to the problem as they increase the load on the springs. CMMG state that there rifles will not work with them but they will with tinkering.
The bolt hold open actuator can also get pinched between the upper and lower, even the slightest flexing will cause the catch to jam and require yet more force to operate.
I re-shape these to make sure the fit is good.
The mags are not very well designed at all though.
I'm currently working with a mag manufacturer and have designed my own follower to fit in their magazine, this will allow bolt hold open functionality in a very consistent product. These things take time though.

Re: Lantac Cmmg Custom
Not had any trouble with any of my 12 Evo mags, must have got lucky. The only thing I have done to the mags is give then a liberal coat of dry lube in the inside and work the follower up and down manually to help run them in. Excellent magazine IMHO.
