I get to go into quite a few properties that have been unchanged since the occupants first moved in. I'm sure every village and town has at least one home like, usually occupied by the unmarried offspring of the original owner. I have seen more than one with gas mantle light fittings and no electricity., and I am sure there are plenty of other forerunners (?) who have seen the same.
The amazing thing about this one is it was unoccupied and nobody looted it in all that time.
A real time capsule of affluence, by the look of it.
