Hi!

I`m new to shooting, thinking to buy this as a first gun, mainly for clay and to learn to shoot and not to ruin something expensive.
Anyone owns this gun here? Any thoughts, advice for me on this,pls?

It's a Baikal. They are what they are. Strong, rugged, dependable. But don't expect any niceties with them. And should you ever wear one out you can always give it years of additional service by banging it into the ground and using it as a fence post...!!!

Also, if it does not fit adapt to it, Baikal stocks seldom keep form after steaming. You will never wear it out however you can still use it as a fence post and simply pull it out whenever you wish to shoot it. They seem to have a heavier recoil than others however that could be down to the piece of Trans Siberian sleeper they used to make the stock from.

Am I knocking it? Absolutely not, they are a no frills shotgun that will last for ever without cleaning on a diet of the nastiest cartridges you can find and if you ever manage to find Baikal cartridges get them for the kudos and super long flames they emit when fired. Baikal shotguns are like Cockroaches, they will be here at the end of the world.

They are great value for money shotguns that do the job, the only over and under that I could shoot worth a damn was a Baikal.
