Shooting Acronyms

LWR? No idea, I am an RFD and I still feel every bit as confused on occasion as I did all those years ago when I first picked up a rifle. We are all knowledgeable in our own fields yet move away slightly and confusion reigns. As an example I know nothing about lever action rifles and I even have one in the cabinet right now awaiting collection. I can show they are clear and safe and probably shoot the things but the finer details... no idea as they are not something I work with or shoot.

The one (not that I recognise even half of yours Iain!) that confuses me is the name of the person from your local firearms department - people say 'FLO', FEO' and others I can't remember...

...I though your 'FLO' was you 'firearms liaison officer', who is a club member and liaises with the police (?)...so what's the official term for the copper who comes round for renewals etc...?

Though I still had to do 2 google searches to find out what the 'E' was...so it's enquiry, not executive!

I thought it was Enforcement :D I've also read the FEO being called FLO - Firearms Licensing Officer.
