Recommend a ammo safe?

#1 Post by paxtond »

Hi guys

I have quickly out grown the tiny ammo lock box in my safe.

I am currently looking for a standalone safe and wondered what you guys were using and if possible a picture to see what sort of quantity of ammo you can fit in.

Thanks guys

I use an old gunsafe...paid £7 at auction for it

LOADS of room inside, may get around to adding shelves at some point

I have a Brattonsound Ammo cabinet (pic from one of the places seeling them - http://www.thesafeshop.co.uk/products/a ... -plus.html

Good solid cabinet and plenty of storage room in there if you have the space to put one.

Tbh that's what I'm leaning towards, any chance of a couple a pics to gauge size and how much it can hold

Cheers

we use these for pistol, action and ammunition storage and they are fine, loads of room in them as well.

Check out B & Q's safes. Stock and cheap-ish.

Not sure what I can add that isn't covered in the website. There's a photo on there showing it against a person. It's just over half the height of my full size Brattonsound for my rifles. As for capacity, I currently have 1000 rounds of 22, about 200 .308, and 200 .357 and that hardly makes a dent in it. Plenty of room, unless you plan on storing 1000's rounds of 12 gauge ;)
