NRA probationer

I have just finished the first part of the NRA probation course run over three days over different weekends. The instructors were great and added an element of humour to keep it interesting. The first day after the initial classroom work it was out to the gallery rifle range to shoot .22 semi autos and under lever rifles.Then back to the classroom for more tuition then out to the 100m/200m ranges to shoot a selection of 7.62/.308 target rifles and finished the day shooting a Lee Enfield .303.
The second day after choosing the sighted rifle module was another classroom start then on to the 100m range shooting 7.62/.308 sighted rifles and playing with the sight to walk the shots round the target,then after lunch back to the classroom before back to the range to practice grouping shots.
The third day was again a classroom start recapping the previous theory sessions before out to 600m (hell its a bloody long way) and happy to say all shots on target and scored After lunch classroom again then out to 1000m(s**t i thought 600m was a long way) 20 shots all on target :shakeshout: and scored ,bloody awesome.
Now i have to do three club days and i can become a full NRA member and then book a few more modules before i think about applying for my FAC.

Good for you mate. I am going to go thru the NRA probation course in a few months time too. It does sound pretty good.

Its great aint it, just waiting for the wife to complete the first day so we can both sort out the second parts of the course and finally get out on the range for the club days :)

Quick question about this. A friend is doing his course this week.

After he has done this does he need to attend 3 NRA club days or can I take him with me when I go and book a range. Would these count towards his 3 visits?
