The stuff in toy caps is called Armstrong's mixture, it's very sensitive and only used in really small quantities. It's essentially the same compound that's used in standard primers.mag41uk wrote:Fair point on the percsuusion cap to ignite black.

Black powder and paper caps make interesting pellet targets.
