My Lantac gets shot almost every week and accuracy is superb.
Hadn't thought of posing with it in front of the mirror, can't wait to get home tonight!!!!!!
Taking the poor old ISSC Mk22 out tonight for somebody to try it before they buy one.
Stripped it down last night and cleaned it (even down to the bolt holder assembly).
What lubricants do people use after cleaning (using Froglube at the moment)?

Whats Froglube? Some superduper gun oil that stops your rifle jamming?

Froglube is good stuff, italian gun grease is also pretty damn good too! (you should have received a free sample of it if you came to H4H shoot at the weekend)

If it works and it's what I have available then in it goes.John MH wrote:Ok, but why use M16 components in an AR15?
I have a couple of M16 carriers and several variations of the AR bolt carrier, all work in our rifles. It's just a case of what was available when I went shopping.
ETA: But isn't this a rimfire thread? I don't use the M16 or AR15 bolt carrier in my rimfires.

Been using froglube for a wee while now and find it good stuff and smells nice too.
Used it in my 10/22 the longest and admittedly it doesn't suffer the same problems that some people have but it runs a sweet as a nut and i find the grime doesn't build up inside the reciever as much either.
Re: Opinions on AR options. I need them!
We use Froglube in the manufacture of all our guns, the only other lubricant is Break Free oil for all the detent springs. I run froglube past in the buffer tube, and buffer spring on a straight pull, applied with a small brush. On a .22LR then heat up the bolt, upper and even the barrel with a hair dryer and then apply the froglube, wait for it to cool and rub off. Works very well that way and makes it much easier to clean the rifle after application. No grease to attract rimfire crap.
