Is glass bedding needed?

I have the 700 SPS in .308 Win with 26" barrel in a Choate tactical stock. The aluminium bedding is fine and the barrel floats freely. I use a 6-9" Harris bipod and it is very accurate - way beyond my ability at this early stage in my shooting career.
