Re: Show me yours
DM is that the new M+P Hatsan, what do you make of it. Also did you fit that butstock to your other Hatsan, seems like the old stock on the one in the piccy.
Political Correctness is the language of lies, written by the corrupt , spoken by the inept!
Re: Show me yours
Chuck,
Unfortunately the action is still the original, I was lucky to be talking with a guy who had just shot with a new M+P, and he said that he would have preferred the straight stock to the pistol stock. 15 minutes later both our SG's had new stocks on!
I found the replacement that you sourced for me much better than the original, and have found the pistol stock better, for me, again.
This is a slug gun, hence the new optics which I have still to try out. I would be interested in one of the Hatsan barrels with cantilever rail, as that should improve accuracy.
Apparently the US have slug gun bench rest competitions (bolt action) I would love to give it a go.

Re: Show me yours
DM,
haven't fitted the one I got (after seeing yours) yet.
Our 20" barrelled home defence Hatsan (and yours will too) has a dovetailed top so I just fitted a picatinny rail and ghost ring at the back and a bladed front sight. The cantilever sight appears to be welded on but I daresay it is an accessory that can be bought.
We will probably acquire and MP when I get back home, not sure whether pump or semi yet, possibly semi with 20" barrel.

Re: Show me yours
Picked up my new rifle today. Was sold to me by Gun Pimp (Vince) and collected from Sanselm (Stuart), thankyou gents!
It's a 6.5x55 made by Dave Tooley. It has a Broughton Barrel Approx. 30mm tapered to 22.5mm and 25"-ish long. With a partial 11 deg crown (see the pic). It also has a Wichita action, Davidson rail and I believe a Dave Tooley fibreglass stock (not sure on that though). The trigger is incredibly light, for me anyway, and is going to take some getting used to.
I will shortly be contact Dave to try and get some more information about the rifle (like twist rate!).
Really looking forward to having a play.
Like to thank Vince for the offer of the rifle and the patience to my un-ending questions! Also like to thank Stuart for being the middle man and also for some re-loading advice.

Re: Show me yours
Toby,
Sorry we couldn't meet up but glad it worked out.
I would imagine the barrel will be a 1 in 8 or 1 in 8.5 for 139/140 grain bullets.
I see the rings fitted OK!
I think the stock will be a McMillan
You'll soon get used to the 2oz Jewell trigger.
The owner would be glad that it's gone to a good home.
Cheers

Re: Show me yours
Blimey, so its got all the toys then, mcmillan and a jewel! It's certainly very definitely a target trigger!!
I went to Hannam's on the way home (sort of!) and bought some 139gr Scenars, some new cases and some N560 (no N550 in stock).
Nearly 600 mile round trip! But its worth it, fantastic looking rifle. I'm sure it will shoot well too.
