Cawdor 06/10
Spent a relaxing few hours at Cawdor today participating in some much needed shooting therapy. :shakeshout:
Today was the Strathpeffer's Gallery Rifle and Long Range Pistol competition, with no pistol/revolver in the cabinet I was shooting the Gallery Rifle comp. Things were going well until we moved back to 100m. At 100m, I went from joint first place to blowing it completely, oh well, live and learn - more practice at longer ranges with the Destroyer is required.
Even so it was a good day and very much needed. clapclap
Me with the Destroyer.

A Destroyer, oh tempting one? Would that be a Bergman in 9mm Largo, perchance?

Unfortunately not quite as civilised as that but very good none the less. When my mate gets his range built, I'll build something similar for him - maybe it will double as a BBQ!dodgyrog wrote:Love the shooting bench - doubles up as the barbie afterwards by the look of it!

Yes, the same one I've mentioned on various occasions!meles meles wrote:A Destroyer, oh tempting one? Would that be a Bergman in 9mm Largo, perchance?
To refresh your memory here it is with my Carcano and Steyr If you buy one (I know of two for sale) you'll need to hand load for it. Even though they will chamber, do not use 38 Super or 9x23mm factory ammunition - far too hot compared to the original 9mm Largo ammunition.

Re: Cawdor 06/10
Is 9mm largo the same as 9mm Browning Long ?

Claims it is 'museum quality' but it's had scope mounts added! Personally, the scope mounts make me wonder if 'hot' ammunition has been put through it. There was a second one listed but that one has gone.
Serial number puts it as a late 1957 build - mine is 1954. See http://9mmlargo.com/destroy/index.htm
9mm Largo is 9x23 and the Browning Long is 9x20.waterford103 wrote:Is 9mm largo the same as 9mm Browning Long ?

*phew*
We escaped that one then...
Perhaps we would be better looking for a carbine in proper (Parabellum) 9mm so that we have a wide range of low cost ammo available...
