scope for S&W MP15

#1 Post by nellis »

I am planning on buying a S&W MP15-22 in the New Year and want to know if anyone can recommend a scope for it. Don't really want to spend more than about £100-£120 and will use it mainly on the range at about 20yds/metres. Would like something that also looks the part so happy for your recommendations guys.

Yep, Perfect choice. But if you don't want a red dot, go with the Simmons White Tail Classic 1.5-5x20
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

If your only going to shoot to 20yds then don't bother with a scope, a red dot will be better if all you are going to use it for is practical shooting.

A bit late but only just saw this thread. I've got a Vortex red dot on mine and it's great. Very clear glass, great 'dot' that can be switched between red & green and looks the business (kind of like an Aimpoint). Would def recommend. When I was using my Smith & Wesson for 25 - 50 yard plinking I had a Hawke 3-7 x 35 IR scope on it which preformed faultlessly; it now sits on my 10/22 and hasn't once lost zero. Only cost about £70.
