Yep. F-B is way better than any reality TV show - Hey Christel, how about you contact the TV people and get a series made about US - that would be a hoot if we were all cooped up together for a week or three.

The power is so low in a CB radio that it is essentially line of sight effective. We use them to talk back and forth between the vehicles. Sometimes you can get 5-10 miles from a CB if there aren't any significant terrain features in the wayChuck wrote:rufrdr: Great photos, now looking for passport and credit card.
Is CB radio effective in all areas or do you find yourself without signal at times...???

Do you use the little hand held ones you get in outdoor pursuit shops or proper vehicle mounted radios?

The handheld version only works if it is plugged into an external antenna, otherwise the range is only about 100 yards maximum from inside a vehicle. Some CB users illegally bump up the power on their radios which boosts the range.northumbrian wrote:Do you use the little hand held ones you get in outdoor pursuit shops or proper vehicle mounted radios?
