hi
just wondered if anyone has just got their fac from kent recently. posted mine on 2nd special delivery so was received on the 3rd and was wondering what the general timescale would be for my visit and completion.sorry just very excited .
There's a dozen factors which influence how long it takes so its impossible to give an accurate figure, even if someone's application was the one before yours there could still be a vast time difference.
Assuming you've got a completely clean record and no medical issues, you're not asking for anything out of the ordinary and you've got your club membership/land permission in place i'd expect 2-3 weeks to get your visit and then another 4-6 weeks on top of that for grant if it goes smoothly. I definitely be chasing them up (polite phone call) if you hadn't had your home visit after 4 weeks, or a decision after 10.
ok mate . everything is in place and as it should be, and have my shotgun certificate already so applying for coterminous. just have to be patient i guess, very hard though :)
. all went well, happy with security, cabinet etc. got cut down to four calibres to start with, but can apply for more in six months.
got 6.5, .223, .22rf and .44 mag and .22 moderator which was suggested by him, and got the ammo i asked for.
hopefully wont be long to get it now.
