Hello from the Isle of Wight

#1 Post by IsleShoot »

Hello All,

Just introducing myself, former 'lurker' who's been brought into the light following the recent press coverage of NF's comments last Friday.

I'm a keen shooter, practical shotgun and sporting rifle mainly but my real passion is practical pistol.

I'm interested in being a member of this forum to learn, listen, share thoughts and hopefully be part of a community that can align all the disparate factions of our sport & hobby in order to promote change for the better.

I almost exclusively do my shooting on the Isle of Wight as a member of Shanklin R&P club and Island Practical Shooting Club (IPSC). To date the absolute highlight of my shooting career was last summer when I managed to get a place to compete in the IPSC Delta Cup VIII in Serbia, so I'll be keen to hear from any other forum members who travel to shoot IPSC pistol competitions.

DVC

Rich.

Hi Froggy, we shoot the IPSC Shotgun & mini-rifle regularly and there is a burgeon interest in LBP, sadly we're not far enough offshore to have handguns.

I have to travel to shoot pistol but I practice with my Westlake Match, got four cylinders for it so whilst I'm not Miculek fast I reckon I might hold the unofficial WR for an El Pres with a muzzle loader!
