7,62x51 Radway Green Availability

#1 Post by ovenpaa »

Does anyone know where I can get hold of some 7,62x51 RG black spot? ideally 500 rounds however less is OK. I do appreciate this is going to be in short supply given that it is no longer being made available to us however someone must have some somewhere...

I thought that the whole world's supply of RG, that was in HM Governments hands, had dried up and did so some time ago.... Unless of course someone has some squirreled away....

Unicorn poo. Ask if anyone has any of that, you may be more lucky!
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

However, with the withdrawal this year we might start to see it. Unless they have the foresight to reduce the factories output but somehow i don't think anyone has thought that far ahead just yet!

I believed that as the primers (Berdan) are sourced in the USA then Radway Green are prevented from releasing ammo for sale to the civilian shooters. The Yank authorities contractually obligate Radway Green to sell ONLY to the military.

I know of a small stash - circa 500-700 rounds. It would be the late manufacture target stuff from not long before supply dried up (I don't think they specifically distinguished between black spot and green at that time). I'll see if it can be released.

Not RG, but i'm pretty sure Iain at ITL Shooting Supplies is still advertising German black spot surplus on his web page.

Well far from reducing production with the completion of the new facility at Radway Green they are stepping up production!

I have already put a comment on the video asking why they can't sell to civilian target shooters if they have such capacity and it being a shame that we have to buy German ammunition if we want surplus.

If we all post a comment I wonder how quickly we can get BAE Systems to close the video for comments
