I am still using primers I paid £13-95 a 1000 for and I though they were expensive at the time!
I have always thought that reloading consumables to be a better investment than just about anything!

Jerry Miculek some guy, we have one of his famous Revolver speed shooting targets on our notice board. Mate met him years ago at Bisley, when Jerry left he gave my mate all the surplus pistol ammo he had left FOC.

The odd Farmer Giles caught wandering around with a spade and terrier might only need a pawful of ammo per year but continuous assault by ooman waves of zombies could see a need for ammo by the bucketful...
