Oh and steer clear of the Hatsan Escort, what a nasty nasty gun that is.
In what way? I'm assuming you mean the semi-auto? (which is pretty crap) but the pump is pretty good...
Yes the Semi Adam, it was recommended to us as a great 1st gun for the wife and we paid well over the normal price for it (£695)with extended carbon fibre tube and some fettling work done to it, that thing kicked like my M2 does when running 36g Express Buckshot rounds (why do those Express buckshot rds have so much kick in them?) and the wife hated it virtually from day one, we were told that the recoil would lessen once it had bedded itself in, well I put about 500 rds through it to try and loosen it up but it never got any better and it got to the stage where she either didn't want to shoot it or would only put about 25rds through it and don't get me started on the loading gate. Funny enough 2 people that had recommended it to us then sold their's on as it turns out they had hated them for ages, especially the nasty recoil, I just wish they had been honest from the start and said don't get one, so we chopped it in (lost £300 on it after only having it a few months) for a 1301 and she's loved it to the point of wanting to go shooting and doing 125-150rds without a moan, I know its like comparing a Metro (or should I say Escort) to an Audi but the 1301 was only £400 more than the Hatsan.

If you can find one for sale then the 1301 is a great buy IMO. It'd be nice if they gave you a full box-o-chokes though! I guess that's one of the reasons it's a good deal cheaper than an A400.

Yes you can see where they made some cost savings to punt it in under the M2 and Remi Versa max price, I much prefer the comfortec stock on my M2 to the 1301 too. Its about the only gun I know that only comes with one choke which is a bit slack, Teague do chokes which I must look at getting ready for the upcoming season.

Primer, what did you get for £695?? the Sec.1 MPA is only £430 and the Sec.1 Escort is around the £395 mark!.

I have a 7yr old Hatsan Escort (Mk1) which has had 8 to 9 thousand cartridges through it, the only problem was when I jammed a bit of cleaning patch in the trigger mech!. I bought a Mk.3 with the improved lifter which then sat in the cabinet for 2yrs while the Mk.1 just continued to shoot, I ended up selling it virtually unused as I didn't need it.

I've also had the Sec.1 MPA which again fed and shot everything I put through it.

None of the Escort semi's had any sort of harsh kick to them, the MPA (when fully loaded) is a bit hefty but no more than my 870 Wingmaster with 11 rounds stuffed in it!.

Well oomans, we purchased our shotty at the Shooting Show. We spent £199 on a Browning pump action shotgun in very nice condition. It's a 5 shot version and goes "Clunk Click" quite purposefully every time we prepare to release a canned bang.

Now, what should we get next? We'll be putting in a variation for more soon...
