Custom Magazine Extensions?
Hi there
So I've finally bitten the bullet and acquired a very cheap Hatsan and would like to increase the capacity, ideally to 9+1.
Hatsan only provide a +2 tube but I'd like the option of a +4/5.
Does anyone know of an extension that might fit, or anyone who could make an extension with the right details?
Cheers

So.. the Hatsan pump has the same thread as the Benelli supernova. Have you got the pump or semi?

Re: Custom Magazine Extensions?
I'm fairly sure the Benelli Nova is supposed to have the same thread.
I have a Section 2 SupaNova and Hatsan Escort (Mk1) and while the Hatsan cap screws nicely onto the Benelli the Benelli doesn't fit the Hatsan, the Hatsans tube has very slightly larger diameter (25.6 mm as opposed to 25.3mm) but the threading appears to be the same. There are posts on some of the US forums about turning the diameter of the Hatsan down a bit on a lathe, also that depending on which Hatsan you have model/age the rem 870 extension fits as well.
edit. Having just wrote that it occurred to me that I still have the original cap off my extended Sec.1 870, tried it on both and it fits, on both!. I have the Choate 5+1 extension on the 870, cost me £30 from Brownells, gives me 9+1 or 10+1 using Hull Comp-X carts smile2

Re: Custom Magazine Extensions?
Pump version of the SupaNova and semi version of the Hatsan.
EDIT.
OK, good news, just took the Choate extension off the 870 and it screws onto both the Benelli and the Hatsan BUT both need a washer or spacer as it doesn't screw right down against the barrel ring, there's a gap of about 3-4mm.

I have a sec.2 hatsan pump, and my nordic stuff for the Benelli supernova/nova fits the Hatsan perfectly. I'm guessing the thread will differ slightly depending on which version you have...(I have both the supernova and 870 Nordic extension kits in stock)
Re: Custom Magazine Extensions?
It's the Semi
I'm pretty sure it's the Mk1 Phaedra, button release. Does the cap screw all the way down or leave a few threads?
Thanks for the info!
Techguy, when you say in stock, how much?

Just seen your edit, a spacer shouldn't be an issue then.Demonic69 wrote:Does the cap screw all the way down or leave a few threads?
