Phoenix 2014 - Entry is open!

#1 Post by User702 »

Just got the e-mail saying that entry was now open for the Phoenix 2014. I'm planning on being there for most of the weekend and shooting the 400/500/600 and 800/900/1000 FTR matches. I believed I have learned from last year's experience and so will try to shoot one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday. I might even be able to enjoy a drink or two on the Saturday night!

Who else will be there?

Hi User,

I hoping to go again. Haven't missed one since the first Pistol AD comp!!!

I'll probably do 2 gallery comps, 2 slug comps plus enter the English XX target rifle comp. This way I get a bit of everything I like!

I've a bit of 'domestic discussion' to undertake then I'll get booked ;)

I'm doing what he said. Target Shotgun should be a giggle.

User702, I am looking at sneaking away from the stand and shooting at least one F Class comp although I am not sure which day to go for yet. Are you joining us Saturday evening, we will end up somewhere quiet on camp for a bite to eat and a glass of something.

Ah, good point. Stand assumes the NRA will actually accept our booking...

Heh, the plan was to make it down for either friday night (and shoot saturday and sunday after a restful night's sleep) or brave the traffic and try and shoot saturday afternoon and sunday. In any case i'll be there saturday night and be about for a drink. I do need to book up a space at the Army lodge though, or at least work out a way ofnturning the Passat into a campervan.

You'll be shooting F Open this yearbthen with the 6.5x47, or will the SSG get a chance to shine in FTR?

Definitely going, but haven't booked yet - I want to do a day of GRCF, and maybe .303 again on the Sunday, not sure yet...

Dave and Chrisel: I hope you guys get your stand problem sorted...as I remember it was very popular last year...

Btw: this thread has just reminded me who Mr Smith is (who I think I met at last years Phoenix) ...and I'm attempting to give him advice on how to prepare for a gallery comp on another thread...
