NEF Handi Rifle 45-70

#1 Post by Sandgroper »

For sale My New England Firearms Handi Rifle in 45-70. Nice rifle, just not getting used any more so, unfortunately, it needs to go.
NEFHRb.jpg
Fitted with iron sights as well as a weaver rail for mounting a scope. The picture below shows the where the stock has been filled after the removal of the tang mounted sight.

I have some once fired brass as well as some loaded ammunition which shows how often I've fired it. Any brass I have will be included as will the ammunition (if you're able to collect) otherwise it'll be fired off and the brass added.

Looking for £250 + postage and/or RFD costs.

Now looking for a decent stock and scope mount on Evil bay dot com
It'll make a great poor man's black gun.
Great for Roe and Fallow I reckon, don't know if it makes velocity for Scotland though?

Are you looking for a wood or plastic stock?

Boyds do replacement stocks for them. ATI also does plastic AR-15 style stocks for them.

As for Scotland - keep bullet weight at or below 250gn and you might make the velocity minimum.

You do remember that I have the one I took off my 300 Blackout and replaced with the ATI "Tacticool" stock?

All nice new and shiny and sitting in the box waiting for a home, if you're at Durham Monday evening I could even bring it with me, I'm sure we can work something out in cast boolits or cash!

I have the rifle.

Do you want me to stick it in the vice and straighten out some of those barrel kinks before I give it to you Rodger?

I can also angle grind the worst of the rust of.
