Hello from Huddersfield

#1 Post by Grahamcs »

Hi Everyone,

New to the board and looking to get into the sport moving up from sub 12ft/lb air rifles (which is ok but not quite the same).

I Have earlier life experience (ACF) of shooting full bore and .22 LR indoors.

I am quite into military style rifles (and other gear for that matter) and have been looking at joining a local club to gain my FAC and then purchase a suitable rifle and take up some of the less target focused disciplines.

I have looked at Yorkshire Shooting club (Mirfield) and Diggle (which are quite close to me).

Diggle I think does more of what I am looking for (tactical) etc

Any help advice would be appreciated.

TIA

I've applied to Diggle via email so I'll have to see what happens there.

Welcome to the forum graham, you've got a decent gun shop in Hudds and some good ranges nearby, great start :-)

Yes, Kirklees Guns is great and very friendly.

In fact it's that place and the Lee Enfield's that rekindled my interest and has spurred me on to do something about it (that and approaching 40!!)

Thanks for the welcomes / info and tips so far.

I just need to join a club and then get my FAC asap.

Regards

Graham

Welcome to the forum Graham, have you started on your gun list yet? I tend to have around a dozen or so rifles in the 'virtual' cabinet at any one time.

Remember, you must find room for an SMLE somewhere along the line :good:
