Guys,

Any pointers or views? I'm not sure what to do- you may be able to sway my decision?
I'm looking at purchasing a Beretta 1301, now- do I trade in my Beretta 391 urika 2 for it or not?
I know that I can use the 1301 at my local clay ground, albeit if I stick to only putting 3 shots in? This is for when I do clays obviously.
I also have an over and under that im keeping.
I'm wondering if I actually need to keep it and I could do without it or is it worth just waiting a few months etc and trying to buy outright?
I don't know if id regret selling it afterwards? Im a bit partial to it as it was my first 'proper' buy!
Has anyone else been in the same predicament?
Any views?

Trade in or buy outright?

Re: Trade in or buy outright?
If you need the money from it to buy the 1301, then sell it privately, you'll probably get more. If you don't need the money, keep it. The reason for keeping? Why not?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

I suppose I don't need the money for it but it would help. however I like your answer of 'Why not'! :goodjob:Sim G wrote:If you need the money from it to buy the 1301, then sell it privately, you'll probably get more. If you don't need the money, keep it. The reason for keeping? Why not?

I have half a dozen guns that I own purely for the "why not " joy of ownership. A practice I fully endorse.

As an aside, you do know that the 1301 is just a 391 with some go faster bits and an extended mag tube?
Get an M2 if you want a better gun!

I kinda did realise- question is can I, and is it cost effective, to upgrade the 391 to a 9 +1?Sim G wrote:As an aside, you do know that the 1301 is just a 391 with some go faster bits and an extended mag tube?

I thought about the M2 a lot but the is it really worth the extra? I like the Beretta and to be honest ive read a lot of 'discussions' over the Benelli vs Beretta and im not sure that it is.
I really need to try one I suppose- If the right one came up then I don't think id hesitate but bang for buck...
Ive also consider the Mossberg JM edition one
