Re: Hallo from Austria
no no funny hats and lederhosen for me this type of folclore is more common in the western parts of Austria smile2froggy wrote:Wahoooo... Thanks VM for taking the time to tell us more about it . It sounds like you are located/living in a very nice & friendly shooting part of the world ...
I do like the idea of this Gebirgsjäger shooting range . It guess it is right in the middle of the mountains ? Is it summer shooting ? I was lucky enough to shoot, in what I guess is the French equivalent, 27e BCA in Modane near the Park de la Vanoise. It was simply awesome. One of the most spectacular range where I have ever shot. The light was great, the views amazing and one has to love the echo of the fire-arms in the mountains. It just makes it perfekt .
So, no caring a K98 while wearing lederhosen and a funny hat for you ??
NB - Avoid using the words "Cellar" + "Fritz(l)" in the sanme sentence here . My little English chums will have you for fruhstuck
Its all year round up there at least when it comes to military training. as for civilian shooting there are a few dates per year where its possible. can be any season.
Height is from 1500m to around 2300m. Not sure how big it is but it is quite large up there.
there are some links with pics maybe you can open them.

Yes the gun law in Austria is quite liberal especially compared to the UK. Having said that no one knows what the future holds and it will for sure not get more liberal rather the opposite. All it takes is some crazy nut running amok to give them an excusefroggy wrote:Wahoooo... Thanks VM for taking the time to tell us more about it . Re: Hallo from Austria
that means it should work with an old modell mka too right? Do you know what would have to be changed for it to work an an XN model?ovenpaa wrote:FtM, I am working on a BR99 billet lower at the moment.
I have one mka 1919 that is pretty much finished for ipsc use also have a mka 1919xn I just got. Plan is to build it as my future competition gun and I would love to have a metal lower for it. But Firebird as many other companies in the US dont consider people outside of the US customers so its hard to come by.
