I'm thinking that the music I enjoy very much depends on my mood at the time I listen to it. I'm pretty sure that must be the same for most of us. Therefore it would be impossible for me to have a definitive one off favourite Some of the music I enjoy in no particular order of preference.

The piece from Schindlers list is quite beautiful but I'm not so keen on the more piano based music in the other three.

Canteloube's Chants d'Auvergne has some beautiful passages including the justly popular Bailero.

My favourite rendition of this piece is by Kathleen Ferrier but I couldn't find it on the netty, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa gives it a certain smoothness though.




A pleasantly sharper presentation of the complete works sung by Victoria de los Angeles
